MIDI2600: Atari 2600 Installation![]() OverviewThese instructions apply to the Atari VCS-CX2600 "Six Switch" console.MIDI2600-Internal installation will not interfere with the use of regular joysticks & keypads, but will prevent the use of paddle controllers. Left & Right ControllerMIDI2600-Internal only: Connect each pin, 1 thru 9, of the MIDI2600 controller outputs to the corresponding pin on the console.
Audio OutputOptional: Audio can be extracted from the console without the use of a television receiver. Wire an audio connector (not included) to the console's circuit board as shown. Exact location of audio signal may vary by circuit board revision. Connect the sleeve of the connector to console ground.
Select & ResetOptional: Connect the MIDI2600 Select & Reset outputs to the corresponding console switches as shown.
Indicator LEDsMIDI2600-Internal only: Use the included LED bezels to mount the MIDI2600 indicator LEDs on the console's case. Each bezel requires a 6mm (1/4") hole.![]()
MIDI JackMIDI2600-Internal only: Attach pins 4 & 5 of the MIDI Jack to the corresponding inputs on the MIDI2600. The MIDI jack requires mounting holes as shown. |
