MIDI2600: Atari 2600 Jr. Installation

Overview

The MIDI2600-External is recommended for use with the 2600 Jr. Due to the lack of space inside this console, internal installation may be difficult or impossible.

Console circuit board layout may vary.

Board Layout

The console's main circuit board is shown at right. Note the locations of the console's audio signal and Select & Reset inputs.

Select & Reset

Optional: Connect the MIDI2600 Select & Reset outputs to the corresponding switch circuit inside the console.

Audio Output

Optional: Audio can be extracted from the console without the use of a television receiver. Wire an audio connector (not included) to the console's circuit board as shown. Exact location of audio signal may vary by circuit board revision. Connect the sleeve of the connector to console ground.
